IRS 2024 Tutorial
“Short Course on Joint Communcation and Sensing”
This workshop explores innovative designs that harmonize communication and radar functionalities within a single transceiver, focusing on the development of hardware that supports dual functionalities. Key topics include transceiver architectures, multi-function antenna systems, signal processing techniques, waveform design, and hardware implementation.
Applications such as automotive radar, smart city infrastructure, and defense systems will be discussed, alongside regulatory and standardization challenges. The workshop aims to enhance understanding, foster collaboration, and identify future research directions in Joint Communication and Sensing (JC&S) technologies.
