Microwave and Radar Week 2024 – MRW 2024 symposium will be held at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology main campus in Wrocław, Poland, in July 1-4, 2024.

Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST) was established in August 1945. WUST is a leading research and teaching centre and one of the most dynamically developing technical universities in Poland. There are currently 22 822 students, 364 doctoral students, and 493 people at the Doctoral School pursuing their degree programs under the supervision of over 1500 academic teachers at WUST’s 13 faculties and three branches.

WUST is located picturesquely on the bend of the Oder river, a few buses stops from the old town,  which is the beating heart of the city almost 24 hours a day.

Wrocław is the capital of Lower Silesia It is an academic city with 10 different universities which educate over 130,000 students.

The conference reception and session rooms are located in building C-13 at the Wybrzeże Wyspiańskiego 23-25, ZIP : 50-370 Wrocław, (GPS): 51.10738, 17.05964, which interior is finished in an industrial style. The exterior of the building resembles punched cards that were once used to program computers.

Lunches will be served in very modern Student Culture Centre located in building C-18.

How to reach University Campus

The conference venue can be reached by public transport. The nearest bus and tram stops Plac  Grunwaldzki is located 150 meters away from the campus of the University.

You can use website <https://jakdojade.pl/wroclaw/trasa> for travel planning, checking timetables, buying tickets and using other travel support services, available via thejakdojade.pl website or mobile application Jakdojade available in Google play and App Store.

The University campus can be reached from the Main Train Station by direct buses:145 and 146 or trams no.: 2, 4, 12, 19. Tram and bus stops are located on the left-hand from the main exit from the train station hall. The destination stop is Most Grunwaldzki or Plac Grunwaldzki. Both public transportation stops are marked on the University campus map below.

Transport to the University campus from the airport

The International Wrocław Airport https://airport.wroclaw.pl/en/  is about 16 km from the University campus.  By car/taxi trip takes about 30-40min. But it depends on the time of the day and traffic intensity.

Transfer from Wrocław Airport to the conference venue is also served by public transport. Transfer takes more than one hour. In front of the airport’s Arrivals hall, there is a bus stop for lines: 106 and 129. In the city center, you have to switch from bus 106 to tram line 13 at the Wrocławski Park Przemysłowy stop. If you choose bus 126 you have to switch to tram line 10 or 12 at the Kwiska stop.
